ATTENTION GEORGETOWN WATER CUSTOMERS: The Harrison County Water & Sewer District was recently advised that the City of Martins Ferry raised rates for Tri-County Water Authority. We purchase water from Tri-County for the Georgetown system, and unfortunately, we will have to raise our rates as well to keep up with the rising costs. This notice is to inform Georgetown customers that the flat rate will remain at $42.50 per month, which includes your first 1,000 gallons of water. The rates per thousand will be increased from $10.50 per thousand gallons to $13.50 per thousand. |
Board meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month; contact the office to be placed on the agenda.
The Water Board meets the first Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m. in the Coal Room at the Government Center located at 538 N. Main Street, Cadiz, Ohio 43907.

Freeport Sanitary System Improvements Project
Project Summary & Current Schedule:
The project consists of two basic components: 1) installation of a sanitary sewer system throughout the Village and 2) construction of a wastewater treatment plant at the south end of the Village. The sewer collection system is complete, including setting of grinder stations and installation of service laterals to the right-of-way of individual properties. The Main St. lift station will be completed Spring 2025. The treatment plant construction is currently on schedule for completion by September / October 2025.
